Are Vision Boards a waste of time?

There are a lot of opinions around Vision Boards.

Some people feel like vision boards are a total waste of time and they do not work.

Some people claim they are inspirational and help them focus on the goals before them.

I personal love Vision Boards.

Not because they are magical or align the universe to us, but because I have seen many friends, clients and business leaders CRUSH their quotas, accomplish their goals by spending the intentional time to focus on what they REALLY want.

Vision boards have helped me set goals, measure them and make better decisions that align with what I want to accomplish.

Vision Boards are not merely something you and I look at, but something that CHALLENGES us to take action on what we say we want.

I have a great planner ( ) that mine travel in.

However, when I lead groups, we use colored file folders so they can travel with us and we can look at them as often as necessary.

Vision Boards motivate us.

“Do it, and then you will feel motivated to do it.” – Zig Ziglar

Could you use some motivation?

“Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.”

– Jack Welch

Could you use some clarity around your vision as a business leader?

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”  – Mark Twain

Is there something amazing you need to start this year?

“As I grow older I pay less attention to what men say.  I just watch what they do.”  – Andrew Carnegie

What are you really going to do this year?

“Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.”

– Jules Renau

Do you know what you want?

Do you know what you really want?

So, do you think Vision Boards are waste of time?

If you do one without intentional focus on the goals you want to accomplish….Yes.

If you do one and stick it in a drawer to gather dust….Yes.

If you have are not ready to make some changes for the better… Yes.

“I never worry about action, but only about inaction.” – Winston Churchill.

What is holding you back?

“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.”

– Leonardo da Vinci

What do you need to do in the next 30 days?

“Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is simply passing the time. Action with Vision is making a positive difference.”

– Joel Barker
