half year HappyHalfYearDef2

Can you believe that half of our year has been spent?

Do you celebrate half birthdays?

This half year or half birthday concept is recognized and celebrated by my daughter every year.  She believes in celebrating her birthday and her half birthday.  Her half birthday happens to fall on March 17th.  In the United States, we celebrate St Patrick’s Day on March 17th with green clothes and necklaces, shamrock cups cakes, and Irish inspired food and activities. My sweet little girl thinks the entire world celebrates with her.  ( and we do!!)

Can you believe that we only have 6 months left of 2016?

6 months to finish the year well.

6 months to make your goals a reality.

6 months to learn ___________________ and achieve _______________.

So, it is July 1st.

What is it that you want to do?

Learn to play an instrument.

Save more money.

Hire that coach.

Organize your office.

Lose weight.

Paint the dining room before Thanksgiving family come.

Plan that trip.

Create that program.

Join that Bible Study.

Here is a quick list to help you jump off the coach of discouragement and make the most of 2016.

  • Decide what you want
  • Think about what you want and why you want it
  • Set your renewed goal
  • Prioritize your goal list
  • Create sub goals as needed
  • Make a detailed plan and be specific
  • Identify possible threats to your goals or potential obstacles
  • Dedicate time to making your goals a reality
  • Track your success

You and I can meet our goals if we follow a plan to success.  How I define success and how you define success may look different but the process is still the same regardless of whether we want to learn a new language, organize our finances or build better relationships.  You and I get to decide what we want and GO FOR IT!!!
